Safeguarding and PSEAH

Zero tolerance for exploitation, abuse and harassment

Everyone who comes into contact with KDI — community members, children, staff, volunteers and partners — has the right to be safe and treated with dignity.

Our commitment

KDI applies safeguarding, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH), protection and code-of-conduct requirements across all of its work, with designated responsibilities, reporting and referral mechanisms for concerns and incidents.

Assistance provided by KDI is always free. No staff member, volunteer or partner may ask for money, favours, sex or anything else in exchange for assistance or services.

  • Code of Conduct & Ethics binding on staff, volunteers and partners

Speak to any KDI staff member, community feedback focal point, or visit our offices in Mogadishu or Jowhar.

If someone is in immediate danger
